Facing criminal charges can make for a very stressful situation. Persons facing such charges may be scared and confused. Anyone accused of a crime is entitled to a defense and is presumed innocent before the court. A person so charged is entitled to a trial by jury of one’s peers and can only found guilty if guilt is proved beyond a reasonable doubt.

A person in Louisiana who is facing drug charges may benefit from a confidential conversation with a knowledgeable criminal law attorney. An experienced lawyer can bring a calming presence to an emotional and stressful situation. In examining the facts of the case as well as the applicable laws, a lawyer can assist a client in understanding the charges that have been brought and what legal options are available, and will work to achieve the most advantageous outcome possible.
